Announcements for the month of June
Last day of school: Friday, June 7th, at 2:30, students will be released for summer vacation! (Report cards will be mailed.)
Lost and Found: Lost and found items will be on display in the library until Thursday, May 30th. Please come and take a look for your child’s missing items!
Have a safe and happy break! Don’t forget to read this summer! We will miss all of our Bobcats, especially our fifth graders!
Announcements for the Month of May
Join us for Bingo, dinner and a silent auction on May 3rd! Fifth grade will be hosting our annual evening of fun to support their week at Outdoor School. Come to eat at 5:00 and stay to play Bingo and bid on donated items. The fifth grade appreciates your support!
Teacher Appreciation is the week of May 6th to May 10th! We are fortunate to have incredible teachers at Harrison Elementary who strive every day to help our children grow and learn. This is a great time to send a note of thanks to a teacher, or teachers, you appreciate at Harrison.
Mark your calendar for Literacy Night! The Parent Club has created lots of reading fun for the family on Tuesday, May 7th, Students must be accompanied by an adult. Join us for either the 3:00 or the 6:30 time slots.
Grade 4 and 5 will be singing at their spring concert! If you are the parent of a fourth or fifth grader you will not want to miss your child’s concert. We will begin at 6:30 on Tuesday, May 14th, under the direction of our music instructor, Joanna Newton.
No school on Monday, May 27th, for Memorial Day.
Announcements for the month of April
Please mark your calendars for our spring concert dates:
- Kindergarten and first grades: Thursday, April 11th, at 6:30
- Second and third grades: Thursday, April 25th, at 6:30
- Fourth and fifth grades: Tuesday, May 14th, at 6:30
Grades three through five participate in state testing: Students in grades three and four will be completing state reading and math online assessments this month. Our fifth graders will be completing math, reading and science assessments. Please help your child do his or her best by encouraging a good breakfast and a good night’s sleep. We are very proud of the efforts of our students!
Parent Club meets Wednesday, April 10th, at 8:30 in the library: Come be a part of this wonderful group of parents and grandparents. They are always looking for new ways to support the students and staff at Harrison. We could use your ideas, too! Younger siblings are always welcome and snacks are provided!
