In the 1950s, the community of Cottage Grove came together to build a municipal pool to teach the children of Cottage Grove to swim.  Over the last 65 years, children have been taught to swim, championship teams have trained, adults have exercised, and families have spent quality time together.  Warren H. Daugherty Aquatic Center has served our community in countless ways.

 

With the continued support of South Lane School District, the City of Cottage Grove, Friends of the Pool, and YOU, we have been able to keep our doors open!  This year, all money raised will go towards pool improvements projects and our SCHOLARSHIP FUND.  We will be expanding our scholarship program to not only provide swim lessons for children, but also seniors and adults who can not afford water therapy.  We are excited to be able to help those in need improve their health.

 

 

YOU CAN HELP!

 

1. Collect pledges from friends, family members, employers, and businesses for every lap you swim.
2. Swim as many laps as you can!  Laps must be swam at a pool at least 25 yards long with a lifeguard.  Have someone count your laps for you.
3. All participants names will be posted at the pool and on our website, www.cottagegrovepool.com.
4. Mail your pledge sheet (keep a copy for yourself) and monies (if collected) by June 15th.
